That's why electric is ideal for multi-car families

From a 30,000 foot view, about 75 percent of all driving is local. For that purpose, electric cars are ideal. I've posted many times about how well my electric car experience went for that reason.

So in the short term, families who own multiple cars anyway would have an EV or two for local driving and a gas powered minivan or SUV for longer trips. And in time, with charging capacities increasing and charging times decreasing, the EV will be a solution for longer distances as well.
